When it comes to lead-generation pillars for real estate agents, open houses are hard to beat. But what if you're not getting the results you want from them? Maybe it's time to rethink how you're doing them.

Open houses provide a way for agents to connect with potential buyers and sellers in a non-intimidating setting, and they can be a great opportunity to generate leads that may not have otherwise considered working with you.

If you have trouble generating leads, to begin with, open houses will surely be your top lead-generator if you begin using the script my team and I have used for YEARS.

Open houses give you the opportunity to generate buyer AND seller leads. 

"But how do I find out who's who?"

Simple.

Introduce yourself and ask for your potential prospect's name.

Most people attend open houses for one of two reasons:

1) They're actively shopping for homes in the area

2) They're a homeowner in the area trying to gauge the potential value of their own home

From there it's easy to figure out the script you're going to use after the open house has concluded and they come up to you with questions or comments - the buyer script, or the seller script?

Before you generate the lead, build a relationship, and get their contact information, you have to know who you're talking to.
